TuneIn Brings Radio Back to the Masses

TuneIn radio service claims that it now has 40 million subscribers, 10 million more than this time last year. After raising $16 million investment funding, the company will soon have even more than its current 70,000 stations and 2 million on-demand programs. A free app browses by location or genre and for songs, artist or station. Bump that up to a $.99 Pro account and users can also record tunes.

Available in the UK for now, it comes with a hefty £299.99 (~$469.00) price tag.

Mobile TV Comes to Samsung Lightray

It seems there is no end to what the Galaxy S Lightray can do. MetroPCS has teamed with Dyle Mobile TV to bring live, local broadcasts via antenna. The smartphone has a 4.3" AMOLED touchscreen, front and back facing cameras, a 1GH processor and a 16GB SD card to improve its 1.38GB memory. The carrier offers their 4G network with unlimited data access in plans starting at only $40.00 and after purchasing of the smartphone for $459.00, the TV service is free.
